Here are some tips on using acupressure for labor.
The P6 point helps the cervix dilate, and can be used when the cervix is not effectively dilating during labor.
It is located four finger widths above the tip of ankle bone on the inside of the ankle. Apply direct pressure on one leg using your index finger and thumb for one minute. Break for 20 minutes then apply pressure to the other leg. Some women will feel their cervix stretching and contractions strengthening. For this reason this is forbidden during pregnancy and only meant to be used for induction of labor.
Apply pressure on this point with your thumb to for one minute, break for 20 minutes and apply pressure on the next hand. This point is used to intensify contractions. This point can be used in the second stage of labor to help the baby descend down the birth canal. Do not use during pregnancy.
